Pershore Patty Recommends – July 2017
July’s culinary adventures began by the waterside at The Boathouse in Upton-Upon Severn where Mr R and I ordered some serious amounts of tapas. It’s still hard to believe that the restaurant has been open for 3 years now and this was the first time we had been.
After telling some friends about The Boathouse who also live locally they also wanted to give it a try, but as we had only been the evening before we had to think of somewhere else to go this time. Indian food is a favourite amongst our four some, so I suggested we pay a visit to Pundits Fusion, also in Upton-Upon Severn.
Weekends are still work days for us and on a Sunday evening after we’d ‘shut shop’ and had drinks with Mr R’s family, we were in need of some food on the way home. Remembering the superb Sunday lunch we had when we were there back in February and when Sunday’s were still our own, we thought it was about time we re-visited The Bell Inn, Cropthorne.
No longer able to resist the burger porn photos on my Instagram feed from Mad Snacks Street Food who have a pop-up kitchen at The Firefly in Worcester, We gave in to temptation and got our burger on!
We had an opportunity to eat at Bodega Cantina in Worcester, a South American inspired restaurant serving tacos, burritos, nachos and lots of yummy cocktails, so we went along to check it out mid-week.
It was the launch evening of new burger restaurant, Sampson’s at The Conservatory in Worcester and I couldn’t wait to go along and be one of the very first to taste one of local celebrity, Carl Sampson’s burgers and meet the chef himself.
Sampson’s at The Conservatory, 34 Friar Street, Worcester, WR1 2LZ
The wait was finally over after Carl Sampson announced on social media and in the local press that he would be ditching his beloved burger van on the A38 and serving his famous burgers from an actual kitchen. He teamed up with The Conservatory in Worcester and the new venture opened it’s doors in July 2017.
