There are many benefits to networking but you have to remember that we are dealing with people. You have to keep that in mind. Going out with a “what can I get?” attitude is going to sink your efforts before you begin. But, of course you need to know what return you are going to get before you invest.
For me I have met many people over the years I am now actually able to call friends! Silly as it sounds, it is great to do business with people you like. Fantastic infact.. It makes the whole process a lot easier, and quite often means no hard sell!!! People will always buy from people, it does not matter what you do, you have to differentiate the way that you do it and the attitude you approach it with. Networking for me does exactly what it says on the tin and bridges a lot of these gaps. Its great to be able to pick up the phone, or meet someone with a real handshake and see how you can help them.
I am proud to host Next Generation Networking which a quarterly networking group for Professionals
in the Worcestershire area. Spring, summer, autumn and winter!
The group is aimed at local professionals who are either young, simply new to their job role or apprentices. There is a Linkedin and Facebook group that you can join group and receive the latest news and events.
In the past we have done pudding tasting, pizza competitions, cocktail making and we also enjoyed burgers from the famous Beefy Boys!
If you would like to join us at the next event please get in touch! It’s great for building networking skills and meeting like-minded professionals.
